Cora Castle

Biography

Cora Castle is the Chair of the Delaware LGBTQ+ Commission and a transgender advocate focused on advancing dignity, visibility, and equal access for LGBTQ+ Delawareans. She works at the intersection of public policy, community engagement, and systems change, helping to identify barriers and drive practical solutions across health, housing, education, and economic opportunity.

Professionally, Cora is the President and Founder of OmniPotential Energy Partners and Executive Director of the non-profit DESCA, where she leads initiatives that support small business founders and expand access to infrastructure and innovation. She also serves as Vice Chair of the New Castle County Board of Adjustment. Her work is grounded in the belief that inclusive policy and thoughtful leadership can materially improve people’s lives.

Cora is a proud transgender woman, mother, and lifelong explorer who has visited all 50 states. Earlier in her career, she spent six months working in a Brazilian steel mill. She shares her home with a small crew of cats and ferrets and enjoys science fiction, strategy games, and big, future-facing ideas.
