Trisha Danah
Biography
Trisha Danah (she/her) is a Deaf queer woman, spouse, and mother to a Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) child. Coming from a Deaf family, she has been involved in advocacy for DHH rights from an early age and has advocated for LGBTQIA+ rights since college.
Trisha is the Statewide Programs Coordinator for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind in Delaware, with expertise across early intervention, early childhood, K–12, and special education, focusing on language access, equitable systems, and family-centered practices. She has served as a Teacher of the Deaf and a school administrator, including as a principal, developing inclusive programs and supporting families across systems that support DHH individuals and their families.
